Crossing from the Puna to the Rainforest (XTC)

Tilcara - Calilegua.

7 days - 6 nights

This trekking is the best way to appreciate the spectacular geography of the region and its characterizing transitions, from the 4000 mts. of the Altiplano to the exuberant Rainforest at just 500 mts. above mean sea level..

This a journey from West to East across slopes and cliffs, leading from the Quebrada de Humahuaca to the high pastures, to then smoothly descend through the hills vegetation, the mountain forest, and finally the rainforest at Calilegua, known as the region of the Yungas.

At every moment we will be among wide views of the chains of mountains framing the Altiplano and originating the large rivers crossing the plains towards the Mesopotamia and the Atlantic.
